Viking trading

The Vikings had many types of ships. Some were large ships for sailing across oceans and others were smaller for inland waters . The ships could carry goods like animal furs, feathers and walrus ivory to other countries.
The Vikings would either sell the goods or trade (swap) them for things they didn't have back at home, like spices, wine, pottery and glass. Vikings used scales to weigh things out so that trading was fair.
